Council Votes to Suspend Bourbon Street Grille

The Monona city council voted tonight to reverse the LRC finding on the Bourbon Street Grille. The council made a finding that the BSG did operate as a disorderly house and suspended their licenses to sell alcohol for 90 days effective February 10, 2009.

The delayed effective date is to give the parties time to reach a proposed agreement that will be presented to the city council at a special meeting on February 9, 2009.

  2. So does the Feb 9 thing mean that BS can submit some sort of plan of action and possibly avert the suspension of their license?

Yes, if the attorneys for the city and BSG reach an agreement and the council finds it acceptable. However, even the agreement may need to include a shorter suspension to win council approval.

  5. My assumption is the agreement will include serving food that is edible and reasonablly priced? I always found chef boy R dee to be quite disgusting at $6.50

My I suggest a new menu as a part of the new agreement?
    Starting with the following:
    Cajun Platter
Fresh, deep-fried battered Catfish, Creole Jambalaya, New Orleans Red Beans and
    served with Cajun Andouille Sausage

    Des Allemands Catfish Platter
Fresh Catfish, deep-fried in a seasoned flour and served with Creole Jambalaya

    Crawfish Etouffeé
Fresh Louisiana Crawfish Tails sautéed in a spicy Cajun Sauce, served over rice

Sadly, I do not have a good suggestion for a chicken dish, but this should also be part of any written agreement.

    Perhaps, others do?
The above recipes changes would be non-negotionable-thus if they do not agree...well so it goes
