Holy Jehoshaphat! The Arizona Cardinals have made the Super Bowl (SuperBowl.com). As a child growing up in Southern Illinois, my parents subjected me to years of attending games of the St. Louis Football Cardinals [St. Louis Cardinals (1960-1987)]. You know your team stinks when they have to identify the sport that they play in the name.
They did have a few good years under Don Coryell, but generally finished second to either the hated Dallas Cowboys or the Washington Indigenous Persons. They had some memorable players like Jim Hart, Mel Gray, and Roger Wehrli (Member - Pro Football Hall of Fame). More pics:

The history of the franchise was epitomized by the first day of Ottis Anderson's career (the other OJ). As I watched from the upper deck, Anderson ran for a career high 193 yards, including a 76 yard TD run with about two minutes to go against the Cowboys to give the Big Red a 21-19 lead. The Cowboys then promptly drove down the field to kick a game-winning field goal as time expired. Good effort, tantalizingly close to victory, but ultimately failure.
