
A few weeks back I posted (Help Youth Sports in Monona ) about Monona Park and Rec Director Jake Anderson's drive to win a $2500 youth sports grant from Liberty Mutual.
I ran into Jake last week and he informs me that the effort was successful and the city of Monona did indeed win the $2500 grant. Nice work by all concerned and special kudos to Jake Anderson for finding this opportunity.
The announcement:
The final count is in! Thousands of youth sport parents and coaches around the country successfully completed the online coursework at ResponsibleSports.com. Hundreds of registered youth sports organizations from around the country collected credits from these certified Responsible Sport Parents and Coaches - and rallied their communities to join the effort.
