Way To Go Monona

A little story in the State Journal yesterday revealed that the most successful Salavation Army kettle in Dane County is right here in Monona at Shopko in the South Towne Mall. This factoid really makes you pause because, let's be honest, South Towne, a 'mall' in name only, is well past its salad days and Shopko isn't exactly Neiman-Marcus.

What is more, WPS staffs the kettle from 8 am to 8 pm with employee volunteers. WPS also recently helped out with a $10K contribution to the holiday lights along Broadway and has committed to a sizeable contribution to the new Winnequah Park shelter.
