Monona Man Gives Packer Ball Away

The WKOW news web site has the following story.

For fun I thought I'd see if I could find some idea of the value. I succeeded and....gak!
According to Roadshow Antiques, a ball that sounds very similar to this one is valued between $5,000 and $6,000.

Monona man donates autographed 1965 ball to Packers Hall of Fame

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- A mint condition football signed by the 1965 Green Bay Packers team has been donated to the team's Hall of Fame.

Chris Morey of Monona got the ball 45 years ago, when his father took him to a game at Lambeau Field. They went for dinner afterward and ran into some players at a restaurant, including defensive end Lionel Aldridge, who gave 13-year-old Chris the ball.

Morey says he knew the ball would be valuable some day but donated it to avoid having to decide which of his two sons to give it to.

An archivist with the Packers Hall of Fame says it's among the best-preserved balls he's seen from that era.
