Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability

Next Tuesday, April 13: Preparing Our Communities for the Future, Now by Peter Park

Learn about planning and creating beautiful and sustainable communities.

Park, who spent eight years as a planner in Milwaukee and successfully worked to demolish the "Highway to Nowhere," is now the Manager of Community Planning and Development for Denver, Colorado. He presented at the inaugural "Bringing Bioneers to Wisconsin" conference last November.

Bryant Moroder of Sustain Dane will share this video from the conference and the Bioneers story. Over 300 local and national sustainability innovators came together in Fitchburg last fall for the "Bringing Bioneers to Wisconsin" conference, melding presentations and conversations in an inspiring and absorbing two-day gathering.

Not only is this a must-see presentation, you'll have the opportunity to submit your ideas for topics and presenters you would like to see at the 2010 Bioneers Conference!

About Green Tuesdays
Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability is the community exchange of information and ideas on sustainable living brought to you by The Natural Step Monona and the Monona Public Library.

Upcoming presentations: "Berries and Fruits for Any Backyard" with Dale and Cindy Secher of Carandale Farm (5/11).

Green Tuesdays are from 6:30 to 8:00, with engaging and fun conversations often pushing the conclusion a bit past that hour. The series is free and open to the public. Sessions are on the second and fifth Tuesdays of the month, from September through May. The Monona Public Library is at 1000 Nichols Road.

Whole Foods serves treats. Attendees are encouraged to come early for delightful food and drink.

Green Tuesdays are supported by the Dane County Environmental Council.
