Sports in Your Shorts

What was more surprising in Badger ball this week? That the Indiana men's team rolled over - again - and was noncompetitive against the badgers in Bloomington or the Badger women rolling over the once-mighty Penn State squad. Lions? They looked more like a bunch of pussy cats.

I expected Indiana to be well on the road to recovery by now. They really look outclassed. Sagarin has them #175 in the nation (out of 347). Now I understand why their fans rushed the court when they knocked off Minnesota in Bloomington this January. This is Indiana??

But, for years Lisa Stone's Badgers have been the most reliably disappointing team on campus and have suddenly become road warriors. And in the "who dat?" department, Anya Covington comes out of nowhere to score in double figures in the last two games. Huge boost to get that kind of growth spurt this late in the year.

From Madison.com:

Badgers score technical knockout over Hoosiers
All five starters score in double figures as UW wins its 12th in 15 games against Indiana and hands the Hoosiers their worst loss ever at Assembly Hall, while IU coach Tom Crean gets ejected in the second half.
