Monona Grove Senior Class Charity Walk is May 31

I received the following announcement from Mary Possin. Sounds like a great event. The MGHS seniors deserve kudos.

The link to the registration and pledge form is

Hi All,

Attached is a sign up form for the MG Funwalk on Sunday, May 31.

The 2009 senior class of Monona Grove High School is this hosting this 5K walk to benefit LoveJone4Kids ( , a non-profit charity founded by Green Bay Packer, James Jones, to help enrich the lives of children living in disadvantaged and underserved communities. In exchange for agreeing to be their commencement speaker talking about the challenges he has faced, Mr. Jones has challenged the kids to raise money for this charity.

I think it's great these kids are doing something to help others before they leave MG. If you've parented seniors, you know what a challenge it is to keep them constructively focused in the weeks before graduation! Let's support the kids who are organizing this event by taking part in this walk.

It will be a great way to spend a Sunday morning. When will you have another chance to take a walk through our community with so many of your friends and family?

The per person cost is just $15 and this includes a T-shirt! At the end of the walk we'll have tailgate concessions and a chance to enjoy musical entertainment provided by some of the seniors. We also have neat door prizes such as Summer Fest Tickets and Packer stuff signed by James Jones!

The registration form is attached. You need to fill out one form for each person walking. You can mail the form to the high school or let me know, and we'll have one of the senior volunteers pick it up from you!

P.S. We're still looking for more business sponsors for this event. For a modest donation, your business will be listed on the back of the event TShirt!
