Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability

FREE - WINNEQUAH PARK - 6:30 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Next Tuesday, May 12: Composting & Vermiculture

Members of the Madison Area Permaculture Guild, including Master Composter Brad Kaellner, will teach us about composting—the thermophillic bacteria way and the worm way! If you’re obtaining a new Earth Machine compost bin this weekend from the City of Madison sale or ours, come learn how to get the most out of it!

Weather permitting, this Green Tuesday will be in Winnequah Park, just west of the creek and lagoon, near the small parking area on the south side of Nichols Road. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. If the weather does not "permit," we will meet in the Media Room of the Monona Public Library, as usual.

Whole Foods serves treats. Come early for tasty food and drink.

Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability is the enlightening and entertaining series of lectures, films, and conversations on sustainable living brought to you by The Natural Step Monona and the Monona Public Library.

Green Tuesdays are on the second and fifth Tuesdays of the month. Sessions start at 6:30 and run until 8:00, with engaging and fun conversations often pushing the conclusion a bit past that hour.

Upcoming: Erin Schneider of EnAct; Simple Home Canning with Dana Johnson; the films Kilowatt Ours, Up Close and Toxic, and Mama Earth; and Chad Speight of Chad’s Carpentry on winterizing our homes (next fall).

Green Tuesdays: Films are supported by the Dane County Environmental Council.
