  1. Say are you going to this a event and is it open to the public?

I know a three or four chickens who may want to watch the event live.

  2. Well, yeah, I AM running for re-election so I plan to be there.

Bad form to miss the candidate's debate. ;->

Yes, it is open to the public. You can also call in questions in during the live broadcast, to (608) 442-6601.

  3. Ooh, too bad I can't be there. If HP is going to show it, would give me a chance to guess which one he is!

  4. Didn't HP make a gender reference long ago? I seem to remember something.

So, any HP-looking types in the audience at the forum last night? Anyone with a bucket full of Buffalo wings on his--or her--lap?

  5. Don't know about gender.

It was a small gathering. Lisa Nelson was there - maybe she is HP from a distance?? Jeff Wiswell, Randy Parvin, Jeff Machut, Bruce McConnell, Bill Podell, Kate Kvale, Mary Possin, and Pat Marsh were in attendance. I think I'm missing someone, but no bucket o' wings in sight.

  7. Does Monona Grove School District teach the use of the name 'Squaw' for women of tribal heritage? Here in Monona a street is named 'Squaw Circle' and a part of lake Monona that abuts the city of Monona is named 'Squaw Bay'. This settler 'naming' is culturally offensive to native families, along with 'Buck, Redskin' etc. What does Monona Grove curriculum do to raise the consciousness of its students about such cultural practices?
I hope the candidates for the school board will address this question in their literature and public fora. no
