City Clerk Joan Andrusz reports that five candidates filed nomination papers for alderman: Bob Miller, Chad Speight, Jim Busse, Mike Veserat, and me. These five candidates will contest for the three at-large seats that will be on the ballot on April 7, 2009.
Mayor Robb Kahl is the only candidate for mayor.

Once again the mayor gets a free pass. What's up with that do you think? Personally, I am not certain it's that everyone thinks he's doing such a great job although I don't think he's a terrible mayor either. I think maybe it's not even about Kahl himself, exactly. Is it that everyone thinks he's unbeatable, or nobody wants the job, or maybe people are generally satisfied with him? Wondering what others think....
