City Council on Monday - Help for Pedestrians

It's been a bit slow lately. The City Council meets on Monday and there's a lot of business to be covered, most of it fairly routine.

Here's a link to the agenda and packet: City Council 8/4/08

Improving pedestrian safety, especially for schoolchildren attending Winnequah School, is the aim of several items. New stop signs are proposed at on McKenna at Greenway. No parking will be allowed on one side of Greenway from McKenna west to the dead end, on Schluter from McKenna to Nichols, and on Maywood from Schluter to Nichols. (The Greenway parking restrictions only apply on school days from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.)

A marked pedestrian walking area will be established in each of these no parking areas.
