Paris and Scooter

Is it my imagination or was there far more outrage, or maybe I should say media outrage, when Paris Hilton was released early from jail than has greeted President Bush's use of his constitutional commutation power (Article II, Section 2) to keep Scooter Libby out of prison?

This cartoon from msnbc.com may help explain the reprieve. Can a pardon be, oh, much more than about 18 months off?

(By the way, the scary news out today is that Hilton's pal Nicole Richie is pregant!!)
