What the L?

I have learned that an error has occurred with regard to the Spring election ballot - my name is misspelled! I am now 'Dougas Wood' with no L! I am told this error was made at the county level or by the printer or something.

'Dougas' - sounds vaguely European; Greek maybe, or Bulgarian. I'm not sure that's a big plus. No word yet on whether the ballots will be reprinted and I am staying out of that and leaving it up to the folks that run the elections.

I also hear that former mayor Dick Lichtfeld takes a shot or two at me in the Herald Independent this week allegedly for being mean to his spouse in my blog! Funny thing is I haven't written anything about Hellooo Monona in several weeks. I didn't even respond when she whined about being scorned in letters to the editor or on the Internet - hey, she asks questions and I try to answer them and she's still not happy. What a pair - they have awfully thin skin for people that want to be center stage so much. Editorial Note: The letter is not in the Herald this week, so it must be a coming attraction.

  1. You get our vote no matter how the name is spelled-
The Hello Monona column reached a new low this week-- and we cancelled our subscription as a result. It is simply too irresponsible- especially to attack folks in our community. I'm Done.

  2. I don't get the paper-who did she attack?

I rather like her column-when I see it.

  3. Look at the bright side. At least they didn't spell it "Dougass"

  4. Good point. Anyway, I am informed that the county has decided to reprint the ballots with the correct spelling.
