MG 21 -- the Monona Grove Liberal Arts Charter School for 21st Century Skills -- opened this past fall in the former library and related classroom space at Nichols School. The school, chartered by the Monona Grove school district and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides a project-based learning environment for students in grades 10-12. The school also incorporates skills outlined in the Partnership for 21st Century Skills as critical for student success in the coming years. The school recently received a major state charter school grant to help implement its programs and curriculum.
