Monona Public Library - Children's Events

Karen Wendt, the best children's librarian in the history of libraries or at least in Dane County passed along some information about upcoming children's events at the Monona Public Library. Check out the Kids & Families on the library web site.

This year the library has online registration (Sign up now!) for the summer reading program.

They have also set up a storytime on our website at with help from the Winnequah 5th graders and Jill Jensen, music instructor.

May 9-13 is National Children's Book Week

Youth Services News!

PICK A BOOK! Give the Gift of Literacy- Buy a book for the library, in the name of your child, from our wish list.

A revolutionary way you can support the library AND get the books you want, too! Celebrate National Children’s Book Week (Note: I added this link)

• Order a book the Library needs
• Be the first person to read it!
• Feel good because you've helped the Monona Public Library!

Step 1: Look over the bulletin board. These are books that the Library is in need of. Choose the books you would like to donate to the Library and take the booktags to the circulation desk.

Step 2: Fill in your contact information and the name of the person you want to have added to the Nameplate (please print). Pay for the book(s).

Step 3: Your order will be processed as quickly as we can. We will place a hold for you on your book when it has been ordered!
It's that easy!
