Fear the Deer?

OK, the NBA will never replace baseball in my pantheon of sports, but can we get a "who dat?" for the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Bucks were having a very nice season when Andrew Bogut went down with a nasty injury. Everyone assumed that was the end of the Bucks story.

But somehow the Bucks have come back to beat Atlanta's Hawks three straight times. One more and they advance to round two.

I will usually favor talent and skill over heart and fight (mainly because most players with talent and skill also have heart and fight), but the Hawks have proven to be a gutless bunch who don't seem to care all that much. Tonight the Hawks were up nine with 4:10 to go and gawked as the Bucks scored 14 straight points.

One of their players took time out during these playoffs to whine about how much Milwaukee, the city, sucks as an NBA destination. Yeah, a lot of places are more attractive as vacation destinations than Milwaukee (OK, make that a whole lot of places), but what did that have to do with the bidness at hand?

The Bucks should win so Bango can do more of this stunt. Take a look, but don't try it at home.

And at least they are distracting us from the meltdown formerly known as Trevor Hoffman.
