On Wednesday,
Angela Boushea signed her national letter of intent to attend the University of Wisconsin on a track & field scholarship. She is the reigning state champion in the shot put and finished 4th in the discus in 2009. There is a really great picture of Angela at the madison.com story. She is the daughter of former Monona city attorney Lee Boushea and Dr. Deb Boushea. A very neat story. Congratulations to Angela and family.
I coached Angela for several years in youth soccer and her athletic ability was evident. I'm glad to see my coaching did not irreparably harm her athletic career....

Also, MG student Austin Barlow got a scholarship to play football at Northern Michigan.
