Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability
FREE - MONONA PUBLIC LIBRARY - 6:30 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.
Next Tuesday, February 9: Healthy Home Fabrics
From apparel designer Karen Powell, learn about toxic chemicals in fabrics. Chemicals remain in new textile products, contributing to poor indoor air and health problems. Although not toxin-free, more fabrics are being made organically and sustainably - the smarter choice for the health of our homes and the environment.
Karen's blog is titled "Healthy Home Fabrics: a sew-it-yourself guide to eco-furnishings." Visit it here.
About Green Tuesdays
Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability is a community exchange of information and ideas presented by The Natural Step Monona and the Monona Public Library. Upcoming presentations: What's up in Monona? (3/9), Mama Earth (3/30), and Preparing Our Communities for the Future, Now (4/13).
Green Tuesdays are on the second and fifth Tuesdays of the month at the Monona Public Library, 1000 Nichols Road. Free and open to the public, we gather at 6:30 and go until 8:00, with engaging and fun conversations often pushing the conclusion a bit past that hour.
Whole Foods serves treats. Come early for delightful food and drink.
Green Tuesdays films are supported by the Dane County Environmental Council.
Go to www.tnsmonona.org or www.mononalibrary.org for more information.
And everybody's doing it!
The fun way to learn about sustainability and build Monona's community bonds at the same time is by participating in a study circle. One hundred twenty-six of your friends and neighbors have, and were glad they did! The Natural Step Monona's next round starts the fourth week of February, so learn more and sign up now by going to our study circle page.
