Moratorium on Anonymous Political Comments

I am imposing a moratorium on anonymous posts related to Monona's local elections (school board, city council and county board). Negative comments about any candidate will absolutely not be posted. I will reserve final judgment on posting positive anonymous comments.

I hope that this moratorium does not dry up the comments.

I am asking posters to state their name in any post related to the campaigns. Own your opinion.

Thanks.

  1. Shouldn't we consider the postives and negatives of the various candidates? People have a right to know the negatives too.

  2. Here is one for you-noticed that those sweet little black boxes on Winnq are back. Thus, we are checking to see if there is still a problem and everyone's speed is getting measured.

Has anyone ever checked the other main ateries in this city or are we just going to measure Winneq till the mayor is happy?

Further, Sunny is correct the problem is at the bottom of the hill? So-put a stop sign at the bottom of the hill or traffice common devices there...but someone measure the other streets. -people are going to speed down that hill from now till the end times, 2012?

Since the mayor is not up for relecation I hope this post makes it through the censors.

In the word of Curly Howard, "Soitenly!". And you may do so here IF you will just sign your name.

What a fount of misinformation in one comment! (And try spell check!)

    1. No, the problem is not just at the bottom of the hill.
    2. Putting a stop sign at the bottom of the hill may not be the best place for it - winter, ice, sliding, crash. Besides, study after study shows that stop signs do NOT reduce speeding.
    3. The PD has and continues to gather speed and traffic data on other streets.
    4. Every time we talk about speeding on Winnequah Road many people turn out, so the mayor is not the only person concerned about speeding or lack of safe pedestrian facilities on Winnequah Road.
    5. Relecation?
    6. Censors. Make that singular; it's just me here, no committee. My blog, my rules.
    7. And yes, I only published this comment because the mayor is not up for "relecation".
