I stuck my head in the Forum Room yesterday and was amazed to see 35 or 40 young people having quite a good time. This festival is the work of the Teen Advisory Board and the library staff, especially Toni Streckert.

Along this line, the Monona Public Library also won the Wisconsin Library Associations' 2008 Media and Technology Section's Webbies award in the "Best Site for Kids" category. The award includes a plaque, a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com, and a "Webbies winner" logo that you may use on your blog (attached). MATS Webbies award winners in all categories will soon be posted on the MATS web site http://www.wla.lib.wi.us/mats/webbies/default.asp, and announced on Wisconsin listervs.
Wow, this is very cool.
ReplyDeleteThe library is great. I was in their last week and they didn't have a book I wanted (at another branch and checked out). I put a hold on it and chose the Monona Library pickup option. A couple days later, I received an email stating that the book was in and ready for pickup. It couldn't have been easier.
