Monona Obama Rally a Great Success

NEW PHOTOS of the crowd.

The Obama rally at Monona's Winnequah Park Shelter was a great success yesterday (October 18). Kudos to Kathy Witte, Kathy Williams, Judy Fritz, and Jo Miller and others. Attendance exceeded expectations. Mark Miller roused the crowd and the candidate even made an appearance.

The event was bona fide grass roots. The local women mentioned came up with the idea, organized the event, got the word out and made it happen. Enthusiasm was palpable as was a healthy amount of caution and even paranoia - well, I guess it's not paranoia, but reality: the GOP will try to suppress the vote again.

  2. I'm a lousy photojournalist - there was a phalanx of folks just outside the viewfinder. I'd estimate there were about 50 attendees there and a number of new people. And yes, the usual suspects, but that's why they call them the usual suspects.
