Monona residents can now obtain absentee ballots from the Monona city clerk at City Hall, 5211 Schluter Road in Monona. Call 222-2525 with questions.
Anyone can vote 'absentee' for any reason or no reason. You can also register at city hall up until the day before the election (and you can register at the polls). You can register, get an absentee ballot, and vote all in one trip.
If you need to register or change your registration I urge you to go to city hall before election day to avoid delays. You can also register by mail or request an absentee ballot by mail. Click here. and go the State Elections Division.
The registration application must be postmarked no later Wednesday, October 15, 2008. But, again, if you miss that date you can go to city hall until the day before the election and register or register at the polls.
