Chicago 2008 Trip Continued.
The Eats. A special part of the enjoyment of going to Chicago is the food. I should say that I consider myself a moderately experienced Chicago traveler, but I found it very useful to buy a copy of Frommer's Chicago 2008 (You can also read a lot of it for free at Chicago : Introduction Frommers.com). We ate at Shaw's Crab House and Blue Crab Lounge (Shaw's Crab House: Fresh Seafood, Steak, Sushi, Crab in Chicago ...). Wonderful, if you like steaks and seafood. Great service, bustling atmosphere, Chicago casual dress.
On Saturday, we lunched at Athena's (Athena Greek Restaurant - Greektown - Chicago, IL 60661 Metromix ...) in Greektown on Halsted just two minutes from the Loop (map: GreektownChicago, IL). Very tasty.
One of my favorites is Carson's for ribs at 612 N. Wells Street also in River North (http://www.ribs.com/). A place that looks very interesting is Russian Tea Time at 77 E. Adams Street in the heart of the Loop (http://www.russianteatime.com/).
And of course there is the famous Chicago deep pizza at Edwardo's, Gino's East, and Pizzeria Uno. If you want a "cheezeborger, cheezeborger, cheezeborger, fries, No Coke, Pepsi", head to Billy Goat Tavern. John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd did.

Doings - Music. We did not make it to Buddy Guy's Legends as we planned, but I can vouch from previous trips that it is well worth a visit if you like the blues. It is conveniently located at 754 S. Wabash Ave in the South Loop just a couple blocks west of Grant Park. Another blues club that looks interesting is Blue Chicago with two locations at 536 and 736 N. Clark Street.
Check out Millennium Park :: Park Events and try something I didn't know about until we saw the crowd leaving on Friday night. Free music in an incredible setting.
