The Iraq war wasn't about the oil - noooo, it was about WMD, err, Saddam was a bad guy, ummm, fightin' al-Qaeda (or was that spreading al-Qaeda to Iraq?).

Patriotism for broccoli, for selling weapons to defend your vegetables, for killing and maiming for tomato democracy would be a hard sell...there just isn't any money in that kind of freedom!

And now the House Dems caved in on FISA. Pelosi has to go, i.e. her craven style of leadership may have been all we could hope for in years past, but we need new leadeership.
