Cubs Choke One Away

Proving that the Brewers aren't the only team capable of tossing away games, the Cubs surrendered a 4-2 lead late and lost 7-4 to the Dodgers! Ha! Double ha! The Brewers are tied with the Cubs and the Red Birds are just 1 game back (and tied in the loss column).

The Cards and Cubs will be beating each other up 5 more times, including a rain makeup game next Monday and the dreaded double-header on Saturday, 9-15. The Cubs have only 7 home games remaining and 16 road games. The Cards have 11 home games and 14 road games, but the Red Birds have no more off days the rest of the way. The Brewers have 10 home games and 13 road games. Only the Brewers finish at home - but they play the San Diego Padres.
