A report from the Wisconsin DOA shows Monona's population reversed the decline with a modest increase from 8018 to 8148 between 2000 and 2007. That's up 1.62%.
Dane County's population increased by 9.8% from 426,500 to 468,500. The state as a whole grew 5.28% and is up to 5,647,000. Measured by percentage growth, St. Croix County grew fastest by far - a whopping 25.1% to almost 80,000. That area has truly become an eastern suburb (or maybe exurb?) of the Twinkie Cities.
