Without peaking at the traffic counts, what road in Monona has the most traffic - excluding the Beltline, Monona Drive, and Broadway?

What do you think of the council's reduced summer meeting schedule?

    Ha! Turns out this was a trick question and I didn't even know it. According to the DOT traffic counts, Bridge Road carried 8500 AADT (prior to 2005) on the stretch from Broadway to Winnequah. But, let's exclude Bridge Road because half of the road is in Madison in that section.

    So, then the answer is Nichols Road with 5400 ADT up near the school. Winnequah Road carried 4600 ADT down near Bridge Road.

    Q: Reduced summer schedule for the city council: must not have any important business.

    Meanie! It does seem like we are able to get through this stuff pretty quickly - for now anyway.
