Monona Needs You!

We need candidates. Sign up now and beat the rush. Nomination papers can be picked up at city hall. Nomination papers may be circulated beginning December 1 and must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007.

Three city-wide aldermanic seats and the mayor are up for election. I plan to run for re-election - er, I should say I have formed an exploratory committee to consider my opportunities to serve the people - but I don't know about anybody else.

Because the post of 'alderman' is city-wide you need to turn in 50 to 100 signatures. There are a couple forms to fill out and that's it. If you plan to spend more than $1000, then you have to keep some extra records and submit a few simple reports.
