Report from Fighting Bob Fest

Just a very quick post from Fighting Bob Fest. It was a blast as always - saw a bunch of Monona folks there, such as Peter McKeever, Marena Kehl, Ross and Penny Depaola, and Paul Meyer. It was energizing, entertaining, and educating as always.

I especially enjoyed Bill McKibben's talk (Official site for Bill McKibben: Author - Educator - Environmentalist) - OK, 'enjoyed' may not be quite the right word. Check out this web site and learn the importance of '350': 350 Global Warming. Global Action. Global Future.

Gwen Moore will wake you up with her enthusiastic populism. Her message today to the progressives, liberals, and yes, the uber liberals was: Get on the ball and get behind Obama. It should be noted that she followed Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney to the stage and was especially pointed in reference to McKinney's supporters.

Peter McKeever moderated a fascinating breakout session on water issues. Among other things, we will need to keep an eye on the DNR rules that will be needed to implement the The Great Lakes Basin Compact.

I know that some of you are still on a 'dial-up' connection so I am limiting the photos here.
